My name is Abby and I was named after the woman who rescued me after seeing me pushed out of a moving car in the city, but could not keep me. She sure wanted to though! My foster mom says anyone who gets to know me would want to keep me! I am sweet, good natured and just want to cuddle up with some nice people and take a nap. My foster dad says I sound like a vacuum when I get excited because I make really cute happy noises! I LOVE walks and do pretty well with a gentle leader head collar. I naturally want to please my owners, and my foster mom says I might steal some hearts with my big brown eyes but I would happily earn it with some work! 

I am one calm doggy, and I would rather hang out with the grownups than play too rough with kids or other dogs. I do not chase cats the cats in my foster home, and I think car rides are the best!  I am a little nervous around raised voices and new dogs so a calm home and slow introductions are smart, but once I'm introduced I happily cuddled up with my foster siblings. I really like other dogs that are sleepy like me but I do well even with pesky puppies that get in my face and pull on my ears. I like my blanket and will hang out in my crate for some me time. I would love to find a forever home where I could rest my head on a knee and be petted!
