My coat is short
and kinda rough to the touch,
Maybe that's why my family
didn't love me much.

Of my one droopy ear,
It doesn't stick up
all perky, I fear.

I did something so bad,
That they left me behind
all lonesome and sad?

If I could only explain
how it feels inside,
to be thrown away
after how hard I tried.

Maybe its because
I acted all too excited,
them coming home from work
and we were united.

Was it something I played with
or wasn't supposed to chew?
Something off limits?
A sock or a shoe?

Able is a major mixed mutt that was abandoned at a high kill shelter at 7 months old. Best guess is that she could be an English pointer/terrier/cattle dog mix? She is about a year and a half old now and weighs in at 32lbs. She has been spayed, micro chipped, and is up to date on all vaccinations. She is also house and crate trained.

Able LOVES to take walks, rides wonderful in a car, and loves to cuddle when its bed time. She will curl right up in your arm or behind your knees. She knows a few commands like: sit, stay, No, and settle down. Able LOVES cats! She does try to play with them, but will curl up and cuddle with them also. Able really LOVES to play with other dogs, but needs to be introduced properly. She seems to be VERY dog selective when it comes to tiny or considerably smaller dogs. So these are not advised.

Able needs an active family who could take her for a walk, bike ride, or jog. She is constantly moving and needs a way to expel her energy. She is a major HAPPY WIGGLE butt. Never meets anyone she doesn't adore. It might be a good idea for her to go to a home without young children because of her energy level. She might accidentally knock over a toddler.
