Buddy

Breed: Labrador Retriever mix
DOB: 2008
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 85 pounds

Foster home: Dale
285-09

Buddy was rescued from an animal shelter where he was a stray and not claimed by his owner.

He has a great disposition. He is friendly and affectionate. He is pretty active and loves to    play with his tennis ball and toys and run in the back yard with other dogs his size. He loves to chase the ball and generally brings it back for me to throw again.

He is really a fantastic dog.  He is probably the best Lab I have had as a foster.

He is crate trained and generally barks when he needs to go out.

He probably should be crated when left alone at least at first.  He has a tendency to  “counter surf” and likes to grab a towel or throw rug and chew on it. We are working on that but still need a little more work.

As with all APB dogs , he has had all his shots, been neutered and is micro chipped.

He is fine with my 1, 3, 7 and 12 year old granddaughters.  He can get a little rambunctious so he is probably not best suited to a family with small children.

He should have a fenced yard. He can clear my 4 foot fence in one beautiful leap but generally will not jump unless there is a deer or cat to chase.

He is a beautiful big guy and probably will put on a little more weight.

He is affectionate but not too needy. He loves to be petted.

He loves to ride in the car or go for a walk and gets really excited when he sees me get his leash. He does need a little work to walk on the leash calmly though.

Buddy is a diamond in the rough. He has all the basics – just needs a little more work to be the perfect pet.  All he asks in return is lots of love and your companionship.
