Duke is one of those dogs we like to call a "gentle giant", very calm, laid back, and gets along well with other dogs, and people of any size.  All he wants in life is for someone to feed him and pet him!  He would do well as an only dog, but also likes to play with another dog for short periods.  He is amazingly tolerant and gentle, even with a yappy, rambunctious Chihuahua!  Duke is the "Great Protector", laying out on the deck, watching attentively and refusing to come inside until the last of our small dogs have come in.  He is fully housebroken and doesn't ever need to be in a crate.  Duke loves riding in the car, and want's to go everywhere with you.  He will patiently sit in the car and wait while you do your errands.  Duke, like most older dogs, has some minor health issues which require routine medication.  He would make an ideal dog for someone who just needs a companion.  To meet Duke is to fall in love with him!  Contact janandal@sbcglobal.net for more information.
