Dutchess and Ozzie are a pair of delightful beagles who are looking for a home where they can stay together forever.

Ozzie is the more affectionate and easy going of the pair. He loves attention from everyone, and his devotion to Dutchess is the sweetest thing to see. Ozzie doesn't really socialize with the other dogs, but he wrestles with Dutchess and does not like to be separated from her. And while Dutchess occasionally plays with other dogs, Ozzie is the one who brings out her playful side.

Dutchess adores stuffy toys and bones, and the most hilarious thing about her is that she sleeps *all the way* under the covers at the very foot of the bed! She hops up on the bed and practically dives under and then swims to the end and she stays there most of the night.

Dutchess and Ozzie are a year apart in age (Dutchess is nine and Ozzie is eight), and grew up together with the same family since they were puppies. Unfortunately, the family had a child who developed severe allergies to the pets, and they weren't able to keep their beagles.

One would never guess that Dutchess is nine years old as she is in fabulous health and very lively. Dutchess is the more independent of the two beagles, while Ozzie is more sensitive. Their foster home has two cats and both dogs are great with them. Initially, Dutchess barked at the cats and chased them a bit, but now she ignores them. Ozzie gets along with all dogs, and Dutchess gets along best with medium or small dogs, but often barks and growls at the biggest dogs in her foster home.

These two kids are truly delightful and a joy to live with. If you have any questions about them, please email their foster mom at hanaburgh@att.net.
