Sweet little Ginger loves laps. She is very quick to notice when you sit down and will come begging to lie quietly on your lap or next to you. If you don’t notice her right away, she sometimes resorts to standing on just her back legs, patiently standing there and waiting for you to notice that she “needs” that lap!
Even though Ginger came from a home where there were no other dogs, she gets along fine with them. Once in a while she tries to boss the bigger dogs around if they get too rowdy. She will bark at them as if to tell those young foolish dogs to behave! However, mostly she just ignores them and will sometimes even curl up in a doggie bed with another small dog.
Ginger had a large tumor on her shoulder that was removed and it was sent out for biopsy. It was a slow growing fatty-type tumor and appears to have been completely removed. However, if it does return, it will remain local and not metastasize to anywhere else in her body.
We are not sure how Ginger would do with really young children or cats as there are neither in her current foster home. E-mail julemson@wmol.com for more info!
