Gingersnaps

Breed: Shih Tzu mix
DOB: 2007
Sex: Spayed female
Weight: 11 pounds

Foster home: Patty
222-10

Ginger is a cuddly, sweet, playful little girl with a big heart!  I think her main goal is to see how many kisses she can give out in a day!  Cover up if you don't like doggy kisses because if she sees bare skin, watch out - legs, arms, face, it doesn't matter!  Walking on the leash is one of Ginger's favorite things to do, and she is very good at it, no pulling or barking.  She is house trained and she usually will stare and her foster mom with tail wagging when it's time to go out.

Ginger has a history of bladder stones and she is on prescription food that you can get at the vet.  Since Ginger has been on this diet, she hasn't had any bladder problems, but her adopters should understand that deviations from her diet could lead to a recurrence of Ginger's urinary tract issues.

Ginger gets along well with other dogs and did well with the cat in her previous home; however, because Ginger has been known to go after rodents and pet birds, she will not be adopted to a home with small pets.  Ginger also mouths a bit when she plays (which we are working on!), so she would do best in a home without resident children under 10 years old.

Ginger is spayed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, and microchipped.  If you have any specific questions about Gingersnaps, please contact: Hanaburgh@peoplepc.com.
