Spring arrived and it was time when any dogs that were infected with heartworms last summer would show up positive now.  Poor Jem was one of those who did!  He was abandoned at a residence and had to be shaved down because his grooming needs were horribly neglected.  Despite the neglect and heartworm, Jem is truly a gem!  He is affectionate, sweet and calm with humans and no issues with other dogs.  We are not sure if he will have any interest in playing with other dogs once he feels better but he co-exists with ease with dogs of any age or size.

If you wish to help Jem out with his medical bills, we welcome any donations.  THANKS from Jem and APB and please give your dogs their heartworm preventative! Jem is fostered in Holland, Mi; e-mail julemson@wmol.com for more info!
