Markie is a very sweet, silly boy. He's a meeter and greeter with both humans and dogs. His tail wags almost nonstop. While he loves playing with other dogs, he is perfectly content with lying down and chewing on a toy. He is a cuddler and a goofball. First thing in the morning he is slithering his way up the bed between his foster mom and the other dogs to give his foster mom her morning kisses and snuggles. You will be greeted at his crate, or your door, by a wiggly boy proudly showing you a toy in his mouth.
He is going to require humans who are patient because he does have fear issues, but he has not shown any signs of aggression. Markie requires continuous, positive reinforcement, and socialization with both humans and dogs. He has slowly been coming out of his shell but will always have his quirks. He use to stay on the sidelines watching the world go by but he now joins in.
Markie is both crate and house trained. Even though Markie loves humans of all ages, he would probably do best in a home without children because he doesn’t realize how big and strong he is.
