Max's nickname is "Max-a-Million" because he's worth a million Pugs to his foster parents!  Max is still very much a puppy - active, tender, playful, "talkative", and a bit mischievous.  Max loves to play with other dogs and will even try to play with the old dogs in his foster home, who would much rather be napping!  Max is 99% housebroken; he's had a couple accidents when not kept on a regular potty schedule.  He is crate trained but is only crated when his foster parents are not home.  Max has and will try to run off if his leash is dropped or the gate to the yard is open, so we prefer he go to a home with a securely fenced yard.  Max is still very young and is a bit mouthy, so he will do best around older children only, 10 years and above.  Even though Max is healthy, Pugs in general have a lot of health issues, and applicants must have central air conditioning in their home.  Previous Pug experience is preferred, as Pugs take a bit more maintenance than some breeds.  Do we sound picky about Max?  Yes!  Max had a rough time as a puppy, and he deserves a perfect forever home.  If you think you can provide this for Max, please contact lisa@schnauzerama.org for more information.
