Max is not a good candidate for homes with children under the teenage years, and applications that have young children will not be considered.

Max  came to APB when his owners moved, and couldn’t keep him. They said he’s good with dogs, cats, and older children. There are no children or cats in his foster home, so we can’t verify this. Max is NOT good with small children, and gets carsick when riding. He's been a bit pushy with the other boys in his foster home...if they back down, he's fine, if they bark back, then a bark chorus ensues!

Max loves to watch TV! When he sees a dog, cat, or other animal, he barks at the TV, runs and gets a toy, then comes back and shakes it at the TV! He loves to sit and snuggle on the couch, but if a lap isn't available, he'll find an available chair, dog bed, or other comfy spot. His other favorite thing to do is to explore the great outdoors - he should have a securely fenced yard, or someone willing to take him on multiple walks - on a leash for his safety.

Max appears to be housetrained – he did have some poop accidents when he first arrived,  but he had a major case of tapeworm, which has been treated. Max is crate trained, and should be crated when left alone for long periods until he’s familiar with the potty schedule in his new home.  He’s recently been neutered, and had his teeth cleaned.
