Sex: Spayed female
Weight:

Foster home: Julie

UPDATE 8/20/08
Oma has completed her heartworm treatment and was spayed.  She came through it all with no problems!  Bloodwork shows that her kidneys and liver have not suffered any damage from the heartworm so she is now all ready for a forever home.  This gentle and sweet dog has learned that if she approaches someone who is sitting down and gives them a big lick on the face, they tend to laugh and give her attention.  Sorry, but she is just too funny to resist bursting out laughing and then when she lifts her ears and wags her tail at your laughter, you can't help but pet her and hug her!  She is great with other dogs of any age or size and likes to meet new people.  She is good for car rides and likes to go on walks.  If you are looking for a super dog, Oma just may be the one for you!

Oma's original Story:
Oma was found dumped in front of a shelter.  She was skinny and obviously neglected because she was also positive for heartworm.  She has gained weight and with it has gained some energy.  She was never lacking for affection and sweetness, though!  Sometimes she thinks she is a small dog and tries to climb in your lap because she adores human attention so much.

Oma will be in foster care for awhile because after she is treated for the heartworm, she will need to be spayed but she will be worth waiting for if anyone is looking for a large dog that must be made of 95% sugar because she is so sweet!

Please consider contributing to Oma’s medical expenses so that we can get her ready for a forever home that will appreciate what a great dog they have! E-mail julemson@wmol.com with specific questions.
