Hi! My name is Peanut but
sometimes my foster mom tells me I am just a nut! I am an active and
smart girl and have no trouble finding things to keep me busy. I play
with all kinds of toys and I have a blast wrestling and running around
with my foster friends.
The first thing I do when I come out of my crate is grab a toy and run
all around with it. Then I grab another toy, and another, and another! I
am still learning that it is more polite to sit than to jump, but I am
so smart that I KNOW I would get straight A's if I could go to obedience
class!
I am also a very athletic girl,
and I love activities like playing fetch, going for walks, and I bet I
would like to try jogging too. One reason I came to APB is that I can
climb right over a 4 foot fence. So I will need a new family who has a
fence higher than 4 feet OR who will promise to exercise and play with
me on leash every single day OR who will watch me very carefully outside
ALL the time. I know, that's kind of a lot to ask, but I am really a
very very good and loving girl when I come in from playing outside.
Oh, and speaking of loving, the way I show my people I love them is by
licking their ears or nose...then maybe nibbling a little...and, um,
sometimes I start chewing their head a bit. Grownups and big kids know
how to tell me when they've had enough love and that maybe I could go
love on a chew toy for a while, but little kids aren't so good at
telling me that and I don't really know when to stop on my own.
I have learned lots about getting along with my doggie friends, and I
play much nicer now that I have learned some of the rules. Mom says that
I get along best with dogs that let me know right from the beginning
what the rules are, because I...um...maybe, kinda, sort of...can be a
teensy bit of a bully with girl dogs who will let me get away with it.
But I am very careful not to make the grumpy dogs mad and we all get
along swell together.
I am a very loving and loyal dog, and I would so much love a family who
will do fun things with me and keep teaching me how to be the best dog I
can be. If you think you would like to adopt me or learn more about me,
please email my foster mom at
