Polo is a little shy when he first meets people, and gets along well with other dogs. Polo has the personality and athleticism of a Cattle Dog. He can run really fast, jump 3 feet straight up without much effort, and will prod at other dogs until he gets them to run and play with him. He loves to be around people, and will follow you everywhere. He will finally curl up next to you when he has burned off his energy, and is very quiet and calm.

Polo was chained outside for the past year and continuously barked out of boredom while living at his former home, but in our fenced yard he is very quiet and rarely barks. We have him in our house with our dogs and he uses a doggie door to go outside into a large fenced yard to go to the bathroom, so we have not had any problems with housetraining.

Polo is usually taken for a walk in the morning with our dogs, and we play with him when we get home from work. We will throw toys for him to chase and bring back, and he will run and play with our other dogs too. He has a lot of puppy in him, is full of energy and if he gets bored will grab anything he can find and run with it. He loves to chase or play keep away. He would be an excellent dog for someone who likes to run, or older children as he was raised with 11-13 year olds (he plays a little rough for small children). Polo would be great at Agility, and would be an excellent playmate for another young dog!
