I’m Rue, a rat terrier mix. At the beginning of winter I was lost on the streets and then went to a shelter where it was warm and I got fed. I didn’t know what to expect when I was still there after 3 weeks, but my foster mom showed up one day and took me to her house, where I met my 3 foster sisters. Everyone here is wonderful to me, even though we have to work through some "issues," whatever those are. I do know that it’s naughty to push the others out of their dishes at feeding time or grab food out of their mouths. I also still cry when I’m left at home in the morning with my sisters, but I settle down right away. When we go for a ride or walk, I have to pretend that I’m a big aggressive girl, so I need to tone down my attitude. Soon we’re going to someplace called a puppy class so can start learning how to be a real lady. I guess being a love bug isn’t quite enough to find a forever home.
My Mom says what I need is someone who can be firm with me and give me daily exercise. I do need a fenced yard to keep me safe because I would definitely chase anything that moved. I just can’t help it. She doesn’t think I would be good around children so I need a home where there are only adults or older children.
