Sweet Sallie is a special little older gal.  She was an unclaimed stray in a shelter and ran out of time for adoption but the staff felt she was such a nice dog that they wanted her to have a chance to make someone happy.  When Sallie had a dental, she lost about half of her teeth and she has cataracts but poodles can have a very long life span and she appears to be very healthy otherwise for her age.   She is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs and she ignored the cats she met. She seems to really like little children and will follow them around – maybe she thinks they will drop food but we can’t be sure because she hasn’t really begged a lot for human food.  She does want to spend her time near her humans though wherever they are and likes to help keep a lap nice and warm.
