This is a funny little guy who loves it when you come home.  He runs around and barks at you until you pay attention to him and then he acts shy and lays his head to the ground as if he is bowing down to you!  We think he actually wants you to pick him up because then he gets all that human contact.  He loves it when you sit down somewhere because he likes to lie near you.  He doesn’t always want to be in your lap but he likes to be touching you.  If you lay down, he loves to crawl up on you and snuggle down for a nap.  Like we mentioned, he is a funny little guy!  Although he loves attention, he is never demanding or real needy other than when you have been gone for awhile and come home.

Sammy gets along with other dogs although he is too mature to really play much with them.  He acts more like a sedate older fella and would rather curl up in a doggie bed either by himself or with another dog.

Even though he doesn’t chew on things or mess in the house, he loves his crate when you get ready to go away.  He will run in there sometimes and be waiting for his treat.  We are not real sure if he just likes the doggie treat or if he really does like the crate although he has been found taking a nap in an open crate a few times.
