Sandy is the not the right dog for you unless you have lots of energy and/or another very, very playful dog!
When we first took Sandy into foster care, she was nervous around other dogs but she has learned quickly that they can be great playmates. However, if they don’t have the energy that Sandy has, they will make sure they get away from her when they are tired. This isn’t too much of a problem because Sandy also does love to play all by herself with toys.
We need to stress that Sandy will need plenty of exercise and attention and if you don’t get her tired, she will get you up in the morning after only about 6 hours of sleep because she is READY for some fun, action and exercise! So if you don’t have a very active life style, you will want to consider adopting a different dog!
Sandy does love humans of all sizes – she does great with children so far as young as 2 years old.
