Although Sasha is 11 years old, she runs around like a young dog and she loves to run! She especially loves to get attention from people, and is so sweet about it. Her foster mom plays a game with Sasha where she hides and Sasha has to use her nose to come find her, and it takes her no time at all. Sasha's 'sit' command to her means to 'sit up' which she does very happily.

Sasha melts when spoken to with even the slightest sternness, and it is likely that she was treated harshly in the past. Sasha loves to be with people, and would love a home where there is family around much of the day. She can be crated for short periods of time, but sometimes gets anxious in a crate and is likely to be stressed in a crate in a new home at first. Sasha is a very active dog for her age, and she would love a fenced yard or an owner who is committed to taking daily long walks with her to give her the exercise she needs.

Sasha is fine with most dogs she has met - some she doesn't interact with much at all, but she is buddies with a male dog in her foster home and she loves to wrestle and rough-house with him. Sasha has not been exposed to cats or to small children, so it is not known how she would react with them. Sasha has a clean bill of health other than needing daily eye drops for a condition called "dry eye".
