I think it’s possible that Skeeter is the sweetest dog that I’ve ever met. From the first moment I met him at the shelter, he has loved me and everyone that he’s come in contact with and everyone who meets him adores him as well. Contact is what he wants. Whether at play, at rest or just coming around to investigate what you’re doing Skeeter needs to stick that big hound dog face into yours. You’ll love stroking his ridiculous ears and getting short, soft kisses from him. He’s about a year old and very full of energy until he drops for one of his puppy naps. He will need a fair amount of exercise or another dog to play with and an attentive human/s. He’s good with other dogs except when toys are involved and is always submissive when another dog tries to put him his place. He lives with many kitties right now and he really wants to play with them but he’s a big, silly galoot so they don’t want to have anything to do with him. He is great with children although his size may scare some little ones. He knows some commands and is pretty well potty-trained but will need general obedience training. He is still a puppy so he needs to be crated when he can’t be supervised. He sleeps well in his bedroom (crate) and will readily go there at night and when we are leaving the house but he is not happy to be in there if we are at home. For a huge puppy, he’s an excellent boy and to know him is truly to love him. He’s just a big, silly, cuddle bug and we adore him. I’m sure you’ll agree that he’s the handsome hound that you’ve been searching for.
