Snickers had a rough start to life. She was found several times running down the road and taken back to her neglectful owner every time. Finally her owner surrendered her and another dog, admitting he could not afford to feed them. Snickers didn't know her name, or even what toys were. However, she has really learned fast, and is blossoming into a wonderful dog

Snickers is a real joy to have in the house and she gets along great with everyone including the cats. She plays great with her dog brother Ollie and would love another dog friend to play with in her new home too. Snickers is definitely a Velcro dog who would sit next to you all day for a scratch behind the ears or a belly rub. She knows when its time to play and settles right down when its time to come in and relax. Coming from where she did it is amazing how loving and gentle she is with everyone she meets.

Although Snickers usually stays close when you are outside with her, she would definitely benefit from a fenced in yard due to her hound nose that has led her astray in her past. Snickers is house trained and crate trained, though she no longer needs to stay in a crate since she is so well behaved in the house. Snickers knows all of her basic commands - sit, stay, lay, come, quiet, leave it, etc. She is very gentle with children, and super friendly with any dogs she meets on her walks.

If you are looking for an all-around great dog, Snickers is your gal! She deserves a great home who can show her how life should be!
