Good evening! Her royal highness princess Teesha here - I'm a shih tzu princess, you know. My demands are simple; a good spot on the couch - you WILL let me on the couch, won't you? I like to tuck my paws up under me, and survey my kingdom.

I was waiting for a ride into rescue, and a Great Dane decided I looked like a really good snack! Shih tzus aren't to eat, they're to snuggle!! Obviously, the common dog didn't realize the presence of royalty!

The vet said I'm a very lucky little girl, and that the damage could have been a lot worse. I got lots of stitches, tho, and drains in my sides til I was all healed up.

My previous home didn't attend to my royal needs, and I lost a bunch of teeth when they were cleaned. As such, I request canned food - this suits a princess! I've adapted to my foster servants, and I don't require hot water mixed in any longer.

I'm mostly housebroken, if I'm kept on a schedule. I'll go in a crate if you put me there...I'm not crazy about it, tho. I was on crate rest for a long time healing up, and princesses would rather sleep in beds. I don't like to potty where you can SEE me - I am royalty, after all - so you should have a securely fenced yard...I don't know how to potty on leash.

I'm fine with other dogs, but I don't play with them - they don't always realize that I'm royalty! I do like to bark at the neighbor dogs thru the fence, so that Great Dane incident didn't scare me off!

Think you've got a spot on the couch for a princess? Apply to adopt me! E-mail lisa@schnauzerama.org for more info!
