Toby has had his share
of hard knocks, especially for such a young guy. He was adopted out of
a shelter then returned with some very odd scars on his face and head.
Judging by the way the scars wrap around his muzzle, we believe someone
tied his mouth shut for long periods of time. The hair on his nose may
never grow back, but he’s simply adorable anyway. Toby frightens easily
but is very loving and gentle. He likes to play with the other small
dogs in his foster home, but he will get scared if they play too rough.
Toby needs a quiet, calm environment where he can learn to trust humans
again. He is okay with cats and plays well with other dogs. He is
doing well on housebreaking but still needs some work, so he is crated
during the day when the humans aren’t home. Toby is so small and has
been handled so roughly that he will not be adopted to a home with
children under 12 years of age. Toby will need a securely fenced yard
or will require secure leash walks. He is so small that he could easily
escape! Despite his hard knocks, Toby has a lot of love to give. If
