Hi Lorna, I didn't know if you were still at the same email address.
Buddy is doing great -- getting a little more gray but still playing
actively with that blue toy (and a box of other toys) you sent home with
him. And it's hilarious to watch him and our big orange cat, Charlie.
Buddy is constantly "kissing" Charlie all over his face and then
at some point they both roll around and wrestle. Buddy also likes to chase
our other cat, but she's a little older and doesn't always
cooperate!
Buddy had surgery about two years ago to replace a torn tendon in his leg
(the result of a much too enthusiastic leap from a bed) and he also has
occasional bouts of acid indigestion (which we're treating with an acid
reducer and cottage cheese in his food) and he's taking an arthritis
medication and thyroid supplement regularly but his health has been very
good. If you could send me your home address, I'll send you a photo. We
now live in Grand Rapids and all the animals have adjusted very well. My
mom lives in Lansing and she loves taking care of Mr. Buddy -- they'll sit
for hours while she rubs his stomach. Yes, he's spoiled and we're proud of
it!
