This is Chia a purebred Chihuahua puppy. She was born to suffer by an insensitive, greedy puppy miller whose only concern was the mass producing of puppies for profit. Chia was born with two deformed front legs and could not stand. When her story hit our website I could barely keep up with all he emails of support and offers to help with her medical costs. Chia stayed with me for approximately 4 months while she went through her surgery. It was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever gone through with a pet. To see her in such pain broke my heart but at the same time I knew it was the right thing to do so she could walk.
We need to speak out for Chia and all the others like her still suffering in the Mills. Puppy millers don't care if they reproduce puppies with genetic disorders, heart and immune system disorders, allergy and skin problems or any other inherited defect. They don't care about the future health of the puppies or the devastation they will cause in the lives of the people who love them. They over breed
indiscriminately, as often as they can with as little cash output as possible for food and housing, in unimaginable filthy conditions and without veterinary care or loving attention.
Chia's story is a happy one. She is now in her forever home with Linda and is walking and even running. She is happy and loved. But there are so many more Chia's suffering in puppy mills all over the U.S. Please tell everyone you know not to purchase a puppy from a pet store. They are only adding to the puppy millers greed.
