Thanks for emailing! I've wanted to send you an update, but didn't have your email address. The summer was great. We went camping once, but it was miserable. It rained the whole time and our tent leaked. We came home early. Libby is doing well. About a month and a half ago, she broke a couple of bones in her right front paw. She was going down the deck steps when her paw got caught between two pieces of wood, but her body kept going down the stairs. We took her to the animal ER, and 6 hours and $550 later, we came out of there with a bright purple splint and a seriously drugged dog. She had the splint on for 4 weeks, and is all healed now. She still doesn't use her leg too much, but we are doing as much as we can to get her to strengthen it back up.
We have discovered that she hates cats, loves to track deer and rabbits, and her favorite treats are chicken flavored rawhide strips. If I am home sick with a migraine, she will lay the entire day on the couch with me and never get up. John loves to rough house with her, and it is so fun to watch her run and attack him. We like to watch the animal funniest home videos with her. She gets so excited and riled up.
We love having her in our family.
