We adopted Sparty as Goldie in April of 1999. We had wonderful memories with her every day. She was the sweetest Labrador Retriever mix ever put on this planet. We couldn’t have had more fun at our cottage on Lake Charlevoix. She loved to chase ducks and lay in the sand.
Sparty was a dog who loved any creature, even cats. Until age 7, she was a puppy at heart. She would love to play with our friends’ dogs. She never complained, even if she didn’t like the dog she was paired with.
Around Christmas of 2006, she was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, which made her tired and not able to breathe as well as she could. A year later, we knew she was in pain and didn’t want to be any longer. We did what was best for her and sent her to the Rainbow Bridge.
She taught us what unconditional love was and didn’t ask anything of us. She loved us for who we were.
Every person who knew you misses you so much. You were a great dog. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We hope you are having fun with Max, Grandma and Grandpa, and Sandy. |
