Talia

Lisa,

Talia is settling in very well. She steals the heart of everyone she meets. I have noticed that she seems to be fearful of men and stairways. I suspect that she may have been kicked down basement stairs by a male. However, she is beginning to overcome the fear of men each day. Just recently while visiting at my fathers she sent right up to his neighbor (a male). Also, she has cuddled on the lap of my boyfriend when in the past she would shy away from him and not want anything to do with him even if it meant getting a pet. My boyfriend commented that she really has a great disposition considering she may have been abused. I agree.

Talia loves to go on rides in the car, walks on the leash and of course her favorite is to just cuddle on your lap and get many pets! I have began teaching her to fetch and she will retrieve the toy and bring it back to you. It is my attempt to get her to become more active. She is also a scavenger. I have caught her on a couple of occasions sticking her nose in the garbage can. Hmmm, as you know I am just starving her! I guess she wants more than the weight control food the vet has since recommended to get her back to a trim 15-18 pounds. I don't think that is in the cards for her but I am making an attempt. No dog bones, just baby carrots and pieces of fruit like strawberries for treats. Recommendations from the vet.

Well I hope this provides you an up-date on Ms. Talia now known as Stinker Bell.
