Hello everyone. I wanted to pass on to those that remember Tuluha (Tuie) the
Cairn Terrier that I adopted through APB about 3 1/2 years ago. If I remember the story right, her person had to go to a
nursing home and the family did not want her so took her to have her put to sleep (of all the mean things to do!) Julie L received her from another rescue cause they did not have room, she brought her to
PP when it was at the grooming place (see it has been awhile since her coming to me) she wanted everyone to pet her and love on her. It
was love at first sight! I took her home and just fell in love with her more after meeting her attitude! And I
kept her with me. She was our dog's (Shady) friend (we thought she needed one)
Tuie walked the bridge at 10:15 yesterday morning to join Shady and my other past love ones in a sunny flower filled meadow. She started
acting really funny this weekend - not being mouthy or eating her snacks. I thought she was depressed (she would get that way
sometimes, vet laughed about her personality) But by Monday night we
knew something was really wrong. Yesterday morning was hell! Vet ran
blood work, I stayed with her until we know what was wrong. She went
while being held and loved.... She was in the final stages of kidney
failure. It came out of the blue. She was in for a complete check up in April, that is when we found that she had an enlarged heart. So
we were treating her for that and she was FINALLY loosing weight. The
really sad thing was that her heart was doing really good and finally
all the fluid was out of her lungs.
She will be greatly missed by our family but probably mostly me! She
was my little mouthy terror!
I thank you for reading this. I wanted to let those who know her to know.
Suzalyn and family
