Please
meet YoYo Poodle. YoYo was named this, because that is how she acted
when she first met me, for a week she acted this way...she wanted to be
loved but was too scared...so she would run up and run away, run to her
crate, run out of it, run into one room, turn and run out of it. Over and
Over she did this...and still does to a certain extent. YoYo lived in a cage
at a puppy Mill for way too long, she has a long way to go to realize that
we will not harm her and only good things come to those who get petted and
loved. Her tail wags almost all the time now, but she's still hesitant on
many levels.
She
loves her crate, will never ever complain about being in it. She is fine
with cats and dogs, could care less about either of them. She does not like
children and will run to her crate to get away from them, she would not do
well in a home with small children, but if someone has visiting children,
she will gladly go in her crate while you visit with your company. If
children sit quietly she will, after watching for a long time, carefully
approach for attention - but should they move - she bolts back to her crate.
YoYo
needs a loving home! A quiet home, and an understanding home where she can
blossom into the dog that she so badly wants to be. YoYo also needs more
work on housetraining, but in time she will come around.
Her
new owner will need a securely fenced yard and lots of patience. But the
rewards that you will receive will be endless.
UPDATE : January 2007
Yoyo has been in my home for about 6
months now, and she truly is a great little gal! She is VERY funny and
Loves *my* attention. She will still not seek out attention from
strangers, but those she gets to know she definitely gets better with.
She gets very silly with me and really loves attention and play
(wrestle) time...she has even taken to pulling on my clothes if I ignore
her for too long....but she has very few teeth...so I don't mind.
She has taken to a couple of my other
dogs as well. She wrestles with Xippy (also available) on a daily basis
and likes to 'scare' my Aussie by sneaking up to her and bouncing and
barking at her! Quite funny! Both of these dogs are 50+ lbs...she could
care less!
She's getting better on a leash, but is
still quite stubborn and doesn't like to walk on it if there is
'pressure' on her.
If you think you have the
home that can help YoYo, please fill out an application. You can e-mail
